Are You Succeeding At Things That Don’t Matter?

Be more afraid of succeeding at things that don’t matter than of failing at things that do.

One of my biggest fears is wasting time and energy on things that don’t matter and figuring it out after it’s too late. That I could have done so much more if only I had stopped long enough to get honest with myself about what I really want and what really matters. This is why I am so passionate about being intentional and authentic. My greatest desire is to live simply, authentically and intentionally and help others do the same so that we can fulfill our life’s work and leave a lasting legacy through those who follow.

It is just as important, if not more so, to identify and eliminate less important tasks from your daily schedule than identifying your top priorities. It doesn’t have to be perfect and you can readjust and edit often. But it is absolutely critical to do the work of answering the all important questions, “What do you really want?” and “What really matters to me?”
